Zarqa Chamber of Industry delegation visits Serbia

AMMAN — The Zarqa Chamber of Industry (ZCI) and the Serbian Ministry of Economy on Sunday discussed means to enhance cooperation between the countries in the fields of food and textile manufacturing, the possibilities of investing in car manufacturing, and increasing the commercial exchange of agricultural produce.
During a visit from a ZCI delegation to Serbia, talks also highlighted the importance of Serbia as a tourist destination, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a meeting that brought together ZCI President Fares Hammoudeh and Serbian Minister of Economy Andjelka Atanaskovic, the minister said that Jordan is an important market for Serbian exporters and enjoys a safe investment environment, in addition to having international free trade agreements.
Hammoudeh, who headed a delegation of 12 industrial companies, said that Jordan looks at Serbia as a central, strategic location among the Balkan countries and southeastern Europe, making it a hub for Jordanian industrial products to access their markets.

An industrial delegation comprising members from Zarqa Chamber of Industry (ZCI) on Saturday left on an African tour that includes Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania to discuss ways of boosting cooperation in industrial fields with investors from these countries.
