Winners of Queen Alia competition announced

AMMAN — Winners of the Queen Alia Competition for Social Responsibility were selected on Wednesday at the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The list of winners will be published on the website of the award (www.qac.jo) on July 27.
The proceeds of the contest, which amounted to JD55,000, were distributed to the Rajaa School for the deaf in Ruseifa, the Mutah centre for special education, the mobile treatment units for people with cerebral palsy and to support students with disabilities in public schools.
Student Sharifah Hussein, from Irbid’s central education district, won the first prize (JD2,000); while Mohammad Al Ghazou, from the Northern Jordan Valley education directorate, came in second place (JD1,500); and Hadil Abu Zaitoon, from Ain Al Basha education directorate, came third (JD1,250).
