Winners of Koran memorising contest honoured

AMMAN — Deputising for Her Majesty Queen Rania, Education Minister and Acting Awqaf Minister Mohammad Thneibat on Monday attended a ceremony to honour winners of the 9th Hashemite Contest for Memorising the Holy Koran for Girls.
The ceremony, held at the King Abdullah I Mosque, was attended by ambassadors of Arab and Muslim countries taking part in the contest.
The first five winners were from Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Palestine and Iraq.
