AMMAN — Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Director General Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat has announced the launch of new flights between the cities of Aqaba and Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital. The weekly flights will start next November, marking the beginning of a direct airway between the two cities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Arabiyat noted that the new airway will support the revitalisation of tourism and increase occupancy rates in Aqaba, highlighting the role of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority as a strategic partner. He said that JTB has “an integrated strategy”, referring to supporting and motivating air charters, low cost airlines, and international and local tourism companies within specific controls.
