Water theft cases uncovered in Maan

AMMAN — The Water Ministry, during a campaign implemented in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), detected several water theft cases in Maan, which included illegal fixtures on water mains and illegal drilling of wells. 

The ministry said that a drilling rig was confiscated in the Ayl area in Maan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The ministry teams also raided several locations in Maan's Al Faisalia and Al Mureigha areas and detected nine illegal fixtures that were used to withdraw water for the irrigation of farms. 

The ministry stressed that it will continue its campaigns to detect water theft cases, urging the public to report any suspected cases to preserve their right to access water.
