Water theft cases detected in Madaba, Karak

AMMAN — The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, implemented a security campaign meant to crack down on water theft incidents targeting water mains supplying Madaba and Karak with drinking water.
The inspection teams have detected 22 violations at Madaba's Amryeh and seven at Karak's Sarfa, according to a ministry statement. The ministry said that illegal fixtures on main water lines that were used to illegally fill tanks and pools, as well as supply farms were removed.
