AMMAN — The Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) on Monday announced suspending water pumping from the Disi Water Conveyance Project for 36 hours as of Monday morning to implement emergency maintenance by the company operating the grid.

Miyahuna said that limited areas in Amman and Zarqa will be affected by the pumping disruption, stressing that water pumping will resume on schedule, once maintenance is done, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The capital’s neighbourhoods to be affected by the suspension include the Sports City, Arjan, Marj Al Hammam, Yasmin, Jandawil, Sweileh and the Urdun Street area.

Meanwhile in Zarqa, the suspension will disrupt the supply of water for the following areas: Dahyet Al Madina, Dahyet Mecca, Hay Hamzah, Dweik, Shomar and Princess Haya housing.
