US-Jordan trade balance surplus reached JD625m in 2022 — DoS

AMMAN — The Department of Statistics (DoS) on Sunday revealed that the 2022 US-Jordan trade balance surplus reached JD625 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The volume of trade between the two countries amounted to JD2.75 billion, the department added. Jordan’s exports to the US in 2022 increased by 6.2 per cent, reaching a value of JD1.685 billion, compared with JD1.586 billion in 2021.
The Kingdom's imports from the US in 2022 also increased by 7.3 per cent, standing at a value of JD1.060 billion, compared with JD988 million in 2021. The US-Jordan free trade agreement was signed in 2000, entering into force in 2010, raising the rate of trade by 800 per cent.
