AMMAN — The US contributed a total of $46.2 million to UNICEF in 2018 as part of a grant to support vulnerable children in Jordan, including Syrian refugees, a statement from UNICEF said.
“The US contribution comes at a critical time for UNICEF when funding gaps are threatening the sustainability of services to children in Jordan,” said the UNICEF Representative Robert Jenkins in the statement.
According to the statement, the US is one of the largest contributors to UNICEF operations in Jordan.
