UNDP marks Int’l Youth Day with leadership programme

AMMAN — The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Saturday launched the second phase of a youth leadership programme to celebrate International Youth Day under the theme: “The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Production and Consumption”.
The programme focuses on the leading role of young people in combating poverty and achieving sustainable development through sustainable consumption and production, according to a UNDP statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Seventeen young people from around the Kingdom were chosen to participate in the programme, which will cover leadership skills, knowledge enhancement and concepts of gender equality.
