Ukraine embassy receiving condolences over death of 13 civilians

AMMAN — A condolence book is available at the Ukraine embassy for those wishing to pay tribute to the 13 civilians killed at a Ukrainian checkpoint on Tuesday near Volnovakha in an attack by "pro-Russian militants".

Fourteen others were injured in the attack.

In a statement, the embassy said January 15 has been proclaimed a day of mourning in Ukraine.

The book of condolence is available at the embassy on Sunday between 9am and 2pm, the statement said.
