UJ takes disciplinary action against students involved in brawl

AMMAN — Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Jordan Ismail Zyoud on Sunday took disciplinary action against students who instigated physical fights on the campus in December, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The decision came based on the recommendations of investigatory committees, according to a university statement issued on Sunday.
The statement stipulated the penalties as follows: The suspension of three students for a period of four semesters, with no summer semester registration allowed; the suspension of six students for a period of three semesters, with no summer semester registration allowed; the suspension of four students for a period of two semesters, with no summer semester registration allowed; and the suspension of one student for a period of one semester. The statement stressed that these decisions are final, and are not subject to appeal.
