UJ president meets with delegation from China's Fudan University

AMMAN — University of Jordan (UJ) President Nathir Obeidat on Sunday met with an academic delegation from Fudan University in China, led by the university’s Vice President Zhimin Chen, to explore opportunities for fostering collaborative efforts in academics and research.
The meeting focused on key areas of cooperation such as student and researcher exchanges, Arabic and Chinese language education, joint applied research initiatives and scientific training programmes.
The parties also discussed the possibility of providing academic scholarships in the engineering, IT, AI, cybersecurity and sustainable development fields.
The delegation's visit to the UJ was organised in coordination with the Association of Arab Universities, reflecting a memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties aimed at enhancing collaboration between Arab and Chinese universities.
The visit also included an invitation for UJ to participate in the upcoming Arab-Chinese Universities Conference scheduled to take place at the end of July this year, according to a UJ statement.
