Two cops injured during raid on wanted suspect’s house

AMMAN — Two policemen were injured on Sunday during a raid on the house of a man wanted by police on 21 drug-related charges.
The Public Security Department’s spokesperson said that the police arrested the suspect after conducting the raid on his house in Irbid’s Mashare area, adding that during the arrest, a group of people started to throw stones at the police officers, which resulted in the injury of two policemen.
During the raid, a man reportedly fired in the air, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
