Two children drown in King Abdullah canal

AMMAN — Two children on Wednesday died after drowning in the King Abdullah Canal in Deir Alla, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Civil Defence Department (CDD) cadres recovered the bodies and transferred them to Princess Iman Hospital. The canal passes through many neighbourhoods in the Jordan Valley and such accidents happen frequently, especially during the summer, according to Petra.
