Turkish official reaffirms support for Palestine, Jordan’s stance on Jerusalem

AMMAN — Palestine is the Muslim’s foremost cause, Turkish Deputy Treasury Minister and President of the Parliamentarians for Al Quds League Nureddin Nebati said on Thursday, expressing his country’s support for the Jordanian position and the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
The minister, during his meeting with the Jordanian parliamentary delegation participating in Afro-Asian Cooperation and Development Forum in Istanbul, called for unifying efforts in this regard, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The delegation, headed by MP Yahya Saud, head of the Lower House’s Palestine Committee, highlighted Amman-Istanbul ties and Ankara’s support for the Palestinian cause.
