AMMAN — A delegation from the Chamber of Trade and Industry in Turkey’s Bursa and several Turkish businesspeople on Monday surveyed investment opportunities in Irbid, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Irbid Governor Saad Shihab met with the delegates and briefed them on the investment environment in the governorate, 80km north of Amman. He also suggested Jordan could benefit from Turkish industrial expertise through cooperation with Jordanian investors.
Shihab also briefed the delegates on the burdens Jordan is shouldering by hosting Syrian refugees, who he said constitute 35 per cent of Irbid’s population.
