Transport minister briefs Cabinet on project to track public cars

AMMAN — Transport Minister Lina Shbeeb briefed the Council of Ministers on Sunday on the project to track government vehicles electronically.
Speaking at a Cabinet meeting, Shbeeb said the government floated a tender for buying and installing a tracking system on public vehicles to monitor their usage.
The system will be installed on 5,000 government vehicles in its initial phase before it is applied to all vehicles.
The vehicles will be monitored through a central control room at the Transport Ministry.
