Training held for spokespeople in public sector

AMMAN — Empowering spokespeople in the public sector coincides with the government's political and administrative reforms and is a main part of reforming and modernising the public sector, Minister of State for Media Affairs Faisal Shboul said on Wednesday.
Attending the inauguration of a training programme for public spokespeople in cooperation with the Jordan Media Institute and UNDP, Shboul said that activating the network of spokespeople in ministries and public institutions will provide quick and direct response to all events round the clock, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Majida Assaf, deputy UNDP representative in Jordan, highlighted the important role of spokespeople in delivering information to citizens. She also called for engaging citizens to be partners in the development process through planning and implementation.
