Trade ministry praises reopening of Syria border crossing

AMMAN — The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply on Thursday welcomed the reopening of Jaber/Nasib border crossing, highlighting its importance in boosting trade movement between the two countries.
The ministry praised the role of this vital economic facility in enhancing transit trade through the two countries towards Europe, Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Trade Minister Tareq Hammouri commended the Syrian interest in rehabilitating the Jordanian-Syrian free zone, urging stakeholders to speed up procedures aimed at resuming its work, attracting investments and boosting trade exchange.
