Trade minister meets with delegation from Syrian chambers of commerce

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Maha Al Ali on Wednesday met a delegation from the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce (FSCC). Ali highlighted the importance of joint action to enhance cooperation, notably in the trade and investment fields, to reach understandings that serve the interests of the two countries’ private sectors, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

During the meeting, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Nael Kabariti highlighted the two countries’ efforts to boost intra-trade and face the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The delegation expressed readiness to work with the Jordanian private sector. A number of proposals to increase economic cooperation were made by the Syrian delegation, calling for removing all obstacles that hinder trade between the two sides.
