Tourism minister, WTO official talk women empowerment

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez and World Tourism Organisation Regional Director for the Middle East Basmah Al Mayman on Thursday discussed the outcomes of workshops that the WTO held with the ministry to empower women and achieve gender equality and equal opportunities in the sector.
They also discussed preparations to hold the 49th meeting of the Middle East regional committee of the WTO, which Jordan is scheduled to host in 2023, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Mayman said that "the experience of Jordanian women will be an international model and an inspiring success story to empower women in the tourism sector in other countries", stressing the organisation's commitment to enhancing women empowerment in the sector in the Kingdom.
