Tarawneh stresses importance of parliamentary cooperation with Cyprus

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Monday stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Lower House and the Cypriot parliament, as well as opening new avenues for the two countries to enhance economic relations.
During a meeting with the Cypriot Ambassador to Jordan Andreas Kouzoupis, Tarawneh said: “Under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, Jordan had made broad reforms, and it currently holds the esteem and appreciation of the international community, due to its moderate and clear positions on regional and international issues.”
For his part, Kouzoupis said that his country is keen to enhance cooperation with Jordan in all fields, adding that the Kingdom is a regional model for moderation, as well as a safe and stable country that the international community highly appreciates, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
