Tarawneh presents Jordan’s ‘model’ in Algeria summit on human rights

AMMAN — The government’s coordinator on human rights, Basil Tarawneh, presented Jordan’s “model” in coordinating institutions in the field of human rights during a conference in Algeria on “Security Challenges and the Human Rights Approach”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday. Tarawneh stated that Jordan was the “only country” that presented its experience.
The presentation covered the constitutional reforms, the launch of a comprehensive national plan for human rights, Jordan’s role in providing humanitarian and moral support to Syrian refugees, as well as the mechanisms taken in the process of governmental coordination with the civil society institutions, Tarwaneh added.
