Tarawneh condemns terrorist attack in Cairo

AMMAN — President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (APU) and Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack that took place outside Cairo’s National Cancer Institute on Monday, resulting in several fatalities and injuries.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Tarawneh stressed the APU’s “full support and solidarity” with Egypt and its counterterrorism efforts. He called for coordination and cooperation between various institutions, local, regional and global, in combating terrorism.
