Swiss ambassador commends Jordan’s efforts to host Syrians

IRBID — Swiss Ambassador to Jordan Hans-Peter Lenz on Tuesday said the embassy has formed a team to work with the UN Development Programme and deal with the effects of the Syrian refugee crisis on host communities, especially in Irbid and Mafraq.
Lenz made his remarks at a meeting with Irbid Governor Saad Shihab, during which he said Jordan plays a major role in receiving Syrian refugees despite all hardships. Lenz urged the international community to help Jordan shoulder its responsibilities on behalf of other countries in the region.
