SSC optional subscriber applications surpass 11,500

AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation’s (SSC) Media Director Musa Sbeihi on Monday said that the SSC has received 11,632 optional subscription applications submitted by Jordanians inside and outside the Kingdom since the start of the year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sbeihi said that optional subscribers have to pay 17.5 per cent of their monthly salary within 15 days following the payments due date, noting that payment is now solely done through e-payments via “efawateer.com”.
Optional subscription is only available through SSC’s website (www.SSC.gov.jo). Eligible subscribers for optional social security insurance must be Jordanian, over 16 and under 55 years old (for those subscribing for the first time), and must not be officially registered workers.
