AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) spokesperson on Monday negated rumours about the launch of an online platform for paying JD250 to those without salaries and daily wage workers.
In a press statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, SSC Spokesperson Musa Sbeihi said that the rumours are “untrue” and that such a platform is not being considered. However, Sbeihi noted that the corporation last week called on daily wage workers to submit applications online through https://service1.ssc.gov.jo/sscaid/ for the purpose of providing those who meet certain requirements with food parcels.
Insured private-sector workers are included under work stoppage insurance, and if an individual’s services ended and they had been subscribed for over 36 months, they can apply on the SSC’s website or mobile application to obtain work stoppage benefits, he said.
