Specialised Arab training assembly held on monitoring public investments

AMMAN — The Jordan Audit Bureau on Sunday held a specialised Arab training assembly discussing monitoring of public investments, in cooperation with the Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The assembly, which will continue until next Thursday, comes within the framework of a developmental plan approved by the ARABOSAI at its 62nd meeting in Qatar, consisting of holding scientific meetings and training courses.
Secretary General of the Jordan Audit Bureau Ibrahim Majali said that the assembly constitutes an opportunity to enhance the skills of participants from Jordan and Arab countries in monitoring public investments, in a manner that serves the Arab investment regulatory work and keeps pace with investment developments in Arab countries.
ARABOSAI representative Sami Nouisser highlighted the importance of the gradual return to holding training meetings after the decline of the COVID pandemic spread.
The assembly features a number of experts and technicians specialised in the field of public investment, who will introduce trainees to the concept of investment, its importance, types, legal and regulatory frameworks related to public investments, in addition to the strategic plans for public investment projects within the scope of sustainable development plans.
A total of 34 trainees representing 17 regulatory bodies of ARABOSAI including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, and Jordan are attending the assembly.
