AMMAN — The special military court, formed by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff, will on Wednesday look into the case of the killing of three US instructors in a shootout at an airbase in Jafer last year. The trial will be held in the military courts’ complex in Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
The instructors were killed in a shooting at the gate of the King Faisal Airbase in Jafer, Maan, 220km south of Amman, in November 2016, as they were in a car near the entrance. A Jordanian non-commissioned officer was injured. The suspect has been detained and faces a premeditated murder charge.
