AMMAN — The National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) on Sunday said it has completed designing, installing, testing and operating the equipment of the south Amman solar conversion plant in the Jiza area, which has a total capacity of 46 megawatts.

The project, funded by Germany’s KfW, aims at connecting power from the solar generation project to the national power grid, according to a NEPCO statement.

The scheme, implemented by NEPCO personnel, is characterised by “accuracy and swift execution as part of the company’s commitment to guaranteeing the security of energy supplies in the Kingdom and maintaining the stability of the power system”, the statement said.
