SMS alert service launched to notify motorists of fines

AMMAN — The Central Traffic Department , in cooperation with Greater Amman Municipality and Zain Jordan Telecom Company, on Monday launched a mobile service that notifies motorists if they have received traffic fines, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said.
PSD Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Sarhan Faqih said that the service aims to immediately notify drivers that they committed a traffic violation through an SMS message on their mobiles letting them know the exact time the fine was issued, in addition to other details.
