SIGI to hold conference on women in health sector Saturday

AMMAN — Sisterhood Is Global Institute (SIGI) is scheduled to hold a conference on Jordanian women, who work in the medical and health sector under the title “Anisah Conference”, a statement from SIGI said on Tuesday.
The conference, which will be held on Saturday, May 20, aims to outline the situation of Jordanian women working in the sector, as well as reviewing their needs and working conditions.
According to SIGI’s estimates, Jordanian women account for 21 per cent of doctors, 61 per cent of dentists, 80 per cent of nurses and 81 per cent of chemists.
