Shoman Foundation announces opening of 2023 cultural grant applications

AMMAN — The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation on Sunday announced the opening of applications for the 2023 cultural grants in Jordan and Palestine, within the scope of literature, arts and thought leadership, until May 12.
Through its Cultural Grants Programme, the foundation aims to support entities and individuals in the cultural, creative, and intellectual industries in Jordan and Palestine in implementing their projects and achieving their goals, according to a statement from the foundation.
The value of the support provided reaches a maximum of JD30,000 per project for a maximum duration of 12 months.
Applicants can propose a budget and timeframe for the project, in accordance with the announced terms and conditions.
In a statement, the foundation stressed that “literature and arts grants aim to raise awareness of the value of artistic culture and creative writing, develop a culture of reading and research, enrich and disseminate Arabic literary and artistic content across various digital and print platforms, invest in cultural skills, enhance literary and artistic spaces, and preserve and protect the national cultural heritage.”
CEO of the Foundation Valentina Kassisieh noted that the foundation will hold sessions in various governorates of the Kingdom to introduce the programme, its mechanisms, and application process.
