Sheyyab urges follow up on implementation of reform plan programmes

AMMAN — Minister of Health Mahmoud Sheyyab stressed the need to follow up the implementation of the programmes and initiatives included in the executive plan for the health sector reform for the years 2018-2022, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a meeting attended by ministry staff and the secretary general of the Higher Health Council Mohammad Tarawneh, he pointed out the importance of following up on the reform plan implementation unit, which was developed on the new organisational structure of the ministry, calling for regular reports.
Tarawneh presented the primary healthcare pillars, which include 48 projects and initiatives, such as the coverage of health centres with family doctors and the increase in the number of general doctors admitted to join residency programmes in this specialty.
