Senate panel begins discussing draft budget

AMMAN — The Senate’s Financial and Economic Committee on Sunday began examining the 2014 state budget draft law which was endorsed by the Lower House last week.
The committee is scheduled to meet with representatives of public agencies and concerned private institutions during morning and afternoon sessions this week.

The Senate’s Legal Committee on Tuesday endorsed the 2014 draft independence of the judiciary law as referred by the Lower House.
The Senate’s Financial and Economic Committee on Thursday endorsed the draft public-private partnership law as referred from the Lower House with minor amendments.
The Senate’s Energy and Mineral Resources Committee on Sunday endorsed a number of draft laws as referred from the Lower House.
