AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday said that the Upper House will deal with the Royal Committee to Modernise Political System’s (RCMPS) recommendations with “utmost national responsibility”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The RCMPS recommendations include two new draft laws for elections and political parties and other constitutional amendments.
The amendments will be dealt with in a manner that achieves the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah and the aspirations of Jordanians concerning political reform, he stressed.
During an informal consultative meeting of the Senate, he noted that His Majesty presented discussion papers outlining the desired future of Jordan. He stressed that the Jordanians are able to achieve the reformist vision of His Majesty, as they have always supported the Kingdom and its Hashemite leadership.
