Saudi delegation visits Petra, talks tourism cooperation

AMMAN — A high-level delegation from the Saudi Royal Commission for Al Ula on Tuesday visited Petra city to boost cooperation in the tourism sector.
The Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) Chairman Suleiman Farajat, who received the delegation, briefed the visitors on the authority’s efforts to develop tourism services in Petra, referring to a "comprehensive development process" that will be realised soon, according to a PDTRA statement.The delegation toured the rose-red city, and had a firsthand look at the “Petra by Night” programme, the flying taxi attraction and other new projects recently introduced by the authority.
The visitors commended the quality of services offered by the PDTRA as well as its efforts in maintaining the world heritage site. Earlier this year, a PDTRA delegation visited Al Ula to boost ties and exchange expertise.
