Saqqaf, French ambassador discuss investment cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Investment Kholoud Saqqaf on Tuesday met with French Ambassador to Jordan Alexis Le Cour Grandmaison to discuss enhancing investment and development cooperation between the two countries. The talks discussed ways to empower and increase French investments in the Kingdom, according to a ministry statement.

During the meeting, Saqqaf emphasised the potential for Jordanian-French relations to serve as a solid foundation for widening collaboration in development, especially in investment.

She pointed out that there are great investment opportunities in Jordan for French investors, and expressed hope to see an increase in French investments in Jordan in the near future. French investments in Jordan currently amount to approximately $1.7 billion and are concentrated in the telecommunications, energy, logistics and trade sectors.
