AMMAN — It is a collective responsibility to protect international humanitarian heritage, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said Thursday.
At a regional ministerial meeting dubbed “Culture under threat”, Judeh said such challenges require regional and international efforts to prevent the theft and destruction of antiquities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The event is aimed at advancing cooperation among Arab countries against the illegal smuggling and sale of cultural artefacts. HRH Princess Sumaya, the vice chairperson of the Jordan Museum, attended the conference.
