Safadi meets US, Japanese, Croatian counterparts over war on Gaza

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Saturday stressed the need an immediate halt to the war in Gaza.
Safadi underlined the importance of delivering emergency humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and ensuring the protection of civilians, according to a ministry statement.
Separately, Safadi and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa on Saturday held expanded talks regarding the developments in Gaza.
They discussed means to intensify efforts aimed at halting the war on the Gaza Strip, stressing that this war violates the international law and the humanitarian international law.
The two ministers discussed efforts to guarantee protecting civilians, delivering of humanitarian assistance to the strip, and building upon the resolution of the UN General Assembly concerning halting the war and safeguarding civilians and adhering to legal and humanitarian obligations.
Also on Saturday, Safadi met with Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Radman over the situation in Gaza and the importance of intensifying efforts to rally an effective international effort to halt the war and its resulting humanitarian crisis.
The two ministers stressed the need of safeguarding civilians and delivering urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
