AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi continued discussions with Dutch officials over furthering cooperation and coordination towards resolving regional crises, according to a Foreign Ministry statement on Tuesday.
Talks with Dutch Defence Minister Ank Bijleveld focused on enhancing bilateral defence cooperation and combatting terrorism.
During his meeting with the Dutch Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Safadi briefed the gathering on the latest regional developments, focusing on the Palestinian cause and Jordan's vision regarding the Syrian crisis and the war on terror, the statement added.
Safadi also reviewed the Kingdom's reform programmes adopted to address economic challenges and the repercussions of regional crises.
He highlighted Jordan's available investment opportunities as a result of its strategic position, qualified human resources and the free trade agreements it has made with a number of countries, all of which make it a "suitable investment destination and a regional and international hub".
Safadi and Dutch officials also reaffirmed mutual keenness to continue advancing cooperation and enhancing friendship ties within the framework of the European Union.
Safadi and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov are scheduled to hold talks on Wednesday in Moscow.
