Safadi congratulates new Turkish foreign minister

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Tuesday made a phone call with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, congratulating him on assuming office.

During the call, Safadi and Fidan expressed their commitment to strengthening the relations between the two countries and enhancing cooperation in various fields, according to a Foreign Ministry statement. 

The two ministers also emphasised the importance of coordination between the two nations regarding regional and international issues, as well as joint efforts to resolve regional crises and achieve security and stability.

Safadi and Fidan acknowledged the longstanding historical ties between the Kingdom and Turkey, which continue to flourish under the leaderships of two countries.

Both sides agreed to schedule a meeting at the earliest opportunity for in-depth discussions on ways to further develop cooperation and tackle regional matters.
