Safadi, Canadian counterpart discuss halting war on Gaza, ensuring civilians’ protection

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi received a phone call from Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly on Tuesday. The two officials discussed efforts to halt the war on Gaza and ensuring civilians' protection. Safadi stressed the "need" to halt the war and its resulting humanitarian crisis. He said that blocking food, medicine and basic goods from the besieged enclave is a war crime and violation of all humanitarian values. Safadi reiterated the importance of delivering urgent humanitarian assistance to Gaza, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
