Safadi, Arab counterparts discuss joint action in facing pandemic

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Sunday telephoned a number of Arab counterparts over means to enhance cooperation in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the calls with Foreign Minister of Oman Youef Bin Alawi, Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Muhammad Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Foreign Minister of Bahrain Abdullatif Zayani, Foreign Minsiter of Lebanon Nassif Hitti and Foreign Minister of Tunisia Nouriddin Ray, Safadi voiced the Kingdom’s full solidarity with their respective countries in facing the pandemic and its readiness to offer any possible assistance, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
For their parts, the top Arab diplomats stressed that solidarity and joint Arab action under these circumstances represent a joint stance and goal for all leaderships.
Safadi also expressed the Kingdom’s appreciation to Gulf countries for offering healthcare to Jordanian communities, the statement said.
