Russian surgeons perform cochlear implant surgeries on Jordanians

AMMAN — A specialised medical team from the Russian Saint Petersburg State University performed several cochlear implant surgeries on Jordanian children over the past two days.
The surgeries, carried out at the Queen Rania Paediatric Hospital, are part of the Hearing without Borders initiative launched by HRH Crown Prince Hussein in late 2014.
The initiative is aimed at alleviating the suffering of deaf children and rehabilitating them to integrate and communicate with society.
