AMMAN — Under Royal Directives and direct following up of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Saturday equipped Salt and Karak public hospitals with two mobile field hospitals each, a move aimed at increasing the two hospitals’ capacity to deal with COVID-19 patients.

Each mobile field hospital contains several beds, including ICU units equipped to deal with such cases, which would support the health sector and strengthen its capacity to mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic, the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Saturday noon visited the New Salt Public Hospital following a deadly incident that resulted in loss of lives of seven patients. His Majesty has ordered to form a committee to probe the incident and hold those responsible.
