Royal directives: Issawi launches number of development initiatives in Mafraq

AMMAN — In implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Thursday announced a pack of Royal development initiatives in Mafraq.
The announcement was made during a meeting held at Al al-Bait University by Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of the Royal initiatives, with dignitaries and representatives of the governorate, where he listened to their demands, pledging to meet them according to the available resources, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The announced initiatives include building 100 housing units for underprivileged families, building a factory as part of the productive branches to generate 200 to 400 jobs, and expanding the Mafraq Public Hospital.
Issawi said that the meeting was held upon the directives of His Majesty to check on the demands of the governorate’s residents, noting that King Abdullah always stresses the importance of communication with citizens across the Kingdom to overcome any obstacles.
The chief said that there will more Royal initiatives in the development and service sectors depending on the priority needs of Mafraq in full cooperation and partnership with the concerned public stakeholders, stressing that the Royal initiatives complement government programmes and are not a substitute.
He also noted that the Royal initiatives nationwide focus on supporting youth and providing them with an incubating environment for their activities and entrepreneur projects, and also seeks to enhance and empower women and youth.
Dignitaries of Mafraq praised His Majesty’s efforts at all levels to develop the Kingdom and his political endeavours to serve Arab and Islamic causes.
They also reviewed several demands that focused on addressing poverty and unemployment, supporting farmers, improving educational, cultural, health and infrastructure services, and attracting investments to the governorate, among other demands.
