AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi extended condolences to the families of Sergeant Imad Aram and Private Yahya Sayyah, who died in a military truck accident last Sunday as part of an aid convoy to the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Issawi visited the families in Zarqa and Irbid governorates and conveyed the condolences of the King and the Crown Prince, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also praised the dedication of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while fulfilling their national duty to help the people of Gaza.

Issawi was accompanied by Adviser to His Majesty for Tribal Affairs Kneiaan Bluwi and Royal Hashemite Court Imam Ahmed Khalaileh.

According to a military source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the fallen soldiers Aram and Sayyah of the Royal Supply and Transport Department were killed and two others injured after three military trucks overturned on Sunday.

The trucks, part of a humanitarian aid convoy, veered off course on the Dead Sea/Adasiya road.

The JAF reiterated its commitment to sending humanitarian aid to Gaza to help its people in these difficult times.
