Royal Academy of Culinary Arts graduates 118 new chefs

AMMAN — The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) held its 13th graduation ceremony on Saturday, November 12 at the King Hussein Business Park Auditorium; honoring the achievements of 118 graduates.

The event was attended by Emilija Georgieva, Ambassador of Switzerland to Jordan, Wajih Oweis, Chairman of RACA’s Board of Trustees, Bill Dewell, General Manager of Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, graduates’ family members and RACA’s management, faculty and employees, according to a statement from RACA.

Oweis addressed the graduates and their parents at the ceremony, congratulating them for their achievements and encouraging them to start careers in this promising industry.

Georgieva delivered a speech to congratulate the graduates for choosing this educational path, highlighting its rewarding future and the various possibilities it offers. 

She also mentioned the positive and fruitful outcomes resulting from the Swiss dual-education system applied by the Royal Academy through its partnership with Écolehôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland, the world’s top university in hospitality and leisure management.

RACA’s Director Chef Jacques Rossel, proudly congratulated the graduates and extended his appreciation to their parents, families and sponsors for supporting them in achieving their dreams. 

He also reflected on the main milestones of their two-year journey, building their skills and knowledge through the RACA’s values.
